My Journey

For 21 years, I lived the life that was expected of me. I went to the “right” school, took the “right” jobs, went to the “right” church and acted the way I knew I needed to in order to maintain the safety, security and acceptance of my family and community. There was a part of me that was dying to break out, to speak what was true for me, and to live my most authentic expression. My own life journey has been an ever-evolving path exploring identity, self-expression, personal truth and spirituality and the ways these impact the relationships I cherish and the ways I live a life of purpose. In the process, I discovered the deep sense of peace and congruence that comes from living authentically and cultivating compassion. I hope to share some of that peace with you in the healing and empowering environment of an accepting, genuine therapeutic relationship.

About Vibrant Heart

The name Vibrant Heart is inspired by the hopes and intentions I hold for each one of my clients. May all those who cross my path learn to live a VIBRANT life aligned with the true calling and desires of their HEART.

To be VIBRANT is to have energy, vitality and passion. It is to express oneself fully and vividly, without the need to hide any part of the self. It is to stand strong in the face of challenges knowing that you can shine brightly when you love and trust yourself.

To have HEART is to be in connection with oneself and others. It is to listen deeply within for the answers to the difficult questions of life. It is to understand ones own values and live a life inspired by intention. It is to allow oneself to remain open, compassionate, and in touch with ones own feelings in order to heal the pain that inevitably arises from the challenges of life.

Some of the experiences and tools we may use over the course of therapy are listed below.
